Increased globalization has created new challenges for law enforcement managers.

Each student is responsible for writing a research paper that provides in-depth analysis on a selected topic relevant to crime and intelligence analysis within a specific working environment. The topic chosen for the research paper must expand on what has been covered during the course. The paper must draw upon independent research and personal reflections in addition to the assigned course readings. It is expected that you will make extensive references to theoretical literature throughout the paper. For example, if you make a statement, ensure that it is supported through documented research. Topics: The student will (a) select a topic that is current and relevant to the challenges facing law enforcement organizations, (b) research the issue(s), (c) apply the theories and concepts from the course material to critically analyze the issue(s), and (d) provide recommendations and appropriate responses by law enforcement organizations to resolve the issue(s)
