The research will investigate the effects of emotional intelligence (EI) and leadership styles on sales performance. Also, the study will involve literature regarding emotional intelligence, transformational/transactional leadership styles and sales performance. Both transactional/transformational leadership styles are supposed to be a strong predictor of leadership effectiveness and their ability to influence the sales person’s performance. The sample will be sales reps in multiple phone carriers in Sacramento CA.
