INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS STRATEGY Assignment
This is an individual assignment in which students are required to write a critical review of an article which has made a significant contribution to the field of business strategy. The assignment must be submitted as a word file through SurreyLearn by 4pm on Tuesday 14 th November 2017. For this purpose, 6 articles have been placed in SurreyLearn and students will be required to choose which article they wish to review.

Hamel, G. (1996) Strategy as Revolution in Harvard Business Review, July-August.
Prahalad, C. K. and Hamel, G. (1990) The Core Competence of the Corporation in Harvard Business Review, May-June. Hamel, G. and Prahalad, C. K. (1989) Strategic Intent in Harvard Business Review, May-June. Mintzberg, H. (1987) Crafting Strategy in Harvard Business Review, July-August. Stalk, G., Evans, P. and Shulman, L. E. (1992) Competing on Capabilities: The new rules of corporate strategy in Harvard Business Review, March-April. The reviews should be no more than 1,000 words in length and should address the following issues:
1. The position of the article in the wider debate about processes of strategy (with evidence from further reading to support this)
2. The main strength and weakness of the article
