By most accounts Illusions serves as a novel to bridge Eastern and Western ideologies as we follow two men on a personal spiritual quest to discover the proverbial meaning of life. Throughout their journey there is a constant theme that the universe provides gifts, but work must be done for those gifts to reach their full potential. Bach writes: “You are never given a wish without also being given the power to make it true. You may have to work for it, however.”
