You can find the information about the dilemma here: CNN physician-journalist poses ethical dilemma after treating Nepal victims https://www.theguardian.com/media/2015/may/01/cnn-physician-journalist-ethical-dilemma-nepal-sanjay-gupta TERM PAPER 10-page, typed, double-spaced paper, not including the title page and the references list. The font should be Times New Roman, 12-point font. In the paper, you will need to explore a real-world ethical case study related to a conceptual issue in the field of mass media that lends itself to controversy or dilemma (i.e. that has two sides of an argument). The case study should also be old enough to have sufficient literature written on it. The case studies that you select can be related to issues such as: * Privacy vs public right to know You are required to use the style of the latest version of the American Psychological Association (APA) in your citations of the sources and in writing up the references list for the term paper. You should use communication journals and other communication sources (other than this course’s readings) for your paper. You should have a minimum of eight scholarly, peer-reviewed sources. The paper will be graded on three equal scales: Research, Content, Writing, and Style. * Title page. * Introduction: The introduction should include a thesis statement (topic statement) expressing the ethical case study that you selected and the major ethical issue that it falls under (e.g. freedom of the press; confidentiality or objectivity). In the introduction, you will also provide some basic background about the ethical case that you selected. * Literature Review: The literature review section should include other scholars’ writings regarding the case study that you selected and the overarching ethical issue that it falls under. Reviewing the literature should be done in a coherent manner that synthesizes the findings from the literature review. The literature that you review should cover both sides of the ethical dilemma that your paper is dealing with. * Recommendations: In this section, you could provide some recommendations as to how the media-related ethical case study that you selected should have been handled in light of the expertise that was presented in the literature review section. To reach this recommendation, you have to use either the SAD formula or the Potter Box approach. You also have to base your recommendation on either a deontological (duty-based) philosophy or a teleological (consequence-based) philosophy. * References (should include at least eight scholarly sources).
