IE linking to good practice. METHODOLOGY SECTION MUST INCLUDE: Section 3 – Research Methodology Have you: •Given an account of the research paradigm and methodological approach to be used.
•Provided an account of who the respondents are to be, and why (this should include reference to validity of research – sampling). •Outlined the methods of data collection and analysis used, with justification for their use (appropriateness) and possible constraints, if any experienced (this might include reference to validity of research – triangulation). •Debated/critically analysed issues of design/content of the data collection methods that had to be faced/considered. •Included ethical issues for consideration in data collection design and distribution. •Outlined the arrangements for data collection, including any ethical considerations. •Discussed any pilot completed, outcome of the pilot and outlined briefly changes that were made. ASSESSMENT CRITERIA: Assessment Criteria There are also assessment criteria to support you in writing your dissertation that you need to consider: 1 .Ability to initiate and undertake a substantive, educationally based research project; 2. Critical understanding of your subject area; 3. Understanding of methodology and appropriate methods for the research area and demonstration of a high degree of professional autonomy; 4. Ability to carry out field work and analyse data with minimal supervision; 5. Ability to prepare a report in good style and presentation; 6. Demonstration of critical evaluation skills relating to ethical issues associated with the research project and its methodology.
