Case Study
Congratulations! You have been asked to be the lead for a high-profile department initiative. The executive management team has determined there is a need for a formalized team lead training program. The team lead has daily interactions with team members, so it is critical to ensure team leads receive proper training covering effective communication with additional focus on behaviors and qualities of leaders.
You have been tasked with completing a module of the training and will need to submit a report in which you answer the following questions outlined by the executive management team. You are excited to get started and looking forward to completing this task as it will meet one of your performance evaluation goals.
- Your answers must address all relevant parts of each question. Make sure to cite any references you use. At a minimum, you must cite the textbook. All references must be cited in APA format as noted in Lesson 0.

- Communication Process: Describe the communication process. Identify three specific communication techniques or concepts which leaders can implement to support effective interactions with team members. Refer to information from Chapter 15 as needed.
- Strategies: Explain two techniques that a team lead can implement to effectively communicate with team members in a one-on-one situation and in a group setting? Why are leadership traits and behaviors important to helping a team achieve organizational goals?
