Therapeutics of diazepam in alcohol withdrawal and general therapeutic effects.

Description

This is a poster project but can be presented in the form of powerpoint slides (that would be printed off and attached to a poster if presented physically).

The main focus is the therapeutics of diazepam in alcohol withdrawal and general therapeutic effects. As part of the assessment I will also need to take part in an oral defence where a university lecturer will call and ask me questions as to why i have chosen the subject areas, layout etc. My area of practice is treating patients in the police custody environment but a more general area would be emergency and short term care medicine. Other drugs will also need to be considered as a comparison such as anticonvulsants that are currently used to treat acute alcohol withdrawal (such as gabapentin)
