n Research Questions The following questions are aimed to help my research in finding the importance and value of hand weaving in the modern days. Why carpet, which is something that put on the floor for people to step on could be so precious? In addition, carpet or tapestry weaving usually relate to materials such as yarns that could be worn out as time goes by, why does the market still have demand? Since technology’s rapid growth, machine weaving could have done the job faster without mistakes, why is hand-weaving remain of great values? Research Objectives To explore the historical and cultural connection in between Persian carpets and the Middle East; Turkish carpets and Turkey tradition; and Chinese carpets and Chinese palaces. To investigate how long carpet could last for; the oldest carpet in the world and also conditions of antique carpets. To research how professionals respond to hand-weaving including what attracts artist to keep producing work.
