Monitor media coverage related to Technology Frauds in Canada or internationally. Do this by following newspapers, television, web-based news or social media for 5 current fraud news items and provide synopsis of the frauds, how they happened, how they were detected and how they could have been prevented. Assignment Tasks: 1. For each news item • provide a summary of the news article • identify the type of Technology Fraud and how it was perpetrated or if not clear, how you think it was done. • identify how it was detected or if not clear, how you think it was detected and • identify how you think it could have been prevented. 2.
