Attached you will find what I started to fill in for you for the needs we need for the sales team regarding local businesses around UTD. You will see that I added a few categories and did a few in advance for you to use as thought starters. PLEASE continue to be as diverse as possible when suggesting these businesses. (Find and create a list of 100 small to medium size mom and pop businesses, no large corporation chains like Starbucks, Walmarts, Pizza Hut etc… that would also appropriate for students and or faculty in the 5 mile radius around the University of Texas at Dallas) Think: What are the specific reason why you are suggestion them? What are some major organizations (use 100 different ones) at UTD and and what businesses could work with them? Which businesses have big local competitors that really need to be found? What are some huge cultural groups (use as many as possible with percentages that were provided) on the UTD campus and where would they want to go? I also want to provide you a link to research some UTD Organization Information: https://utdallas.presence.io/organizations 2) Remember to mention specific UTD related organizations. This is the information that is truly valuable to a sales team. We want to use this tool as inside knowledge that sales team members can’t get easily. By simply mentioning what type of business it is or that is just has great reviews doesn’t help the sales team make a case. 3) “Other Things To Note” make sure each information matches the business its for. 4) There has to be more variety. My suggestions of local car oil changes, cell phone repair shops, even nail salons! Although restaurants are a huge part of the business category, there needs to be much more variety.
