 Using the Rogerian argument technique, write an essay of 3-4 pages where you engage in this technique to come to a compromise with the character you selected. Note: There is no required format for this essay beyond using MLA and the Rogerian argument techniques that must be present. You can choose the way you write this essay. It can be a formal essay. It can be a letter to the character. It can be a short story. YOU CHOOSE YOUR FORMAT.

Guidelines:

• Remember the format the argument should follow:
• Identify an issue
• Discuss why there should be a compromise on the issue
• Objectively explore both sides of the issue
• Determine what could be common ground for both sides (what do both sides want or believe in)
• Propose a compromise that benefits both sides (no one side should get everything they want)
• Your paper should follow MLA style.
• All sources (the only required source is the story itself) must appear on the Works Cited page and also must be cited within the essay itself.
