 Literay analysis on the short story Sweat by Zora Hurston. it is a research paper. Literary Elements: • Plot: External- Character vs. Character, Character vs. Society, and Character vs. Nature • Plot: Internal- Character vs. Physical Self and Character vs. Mental Self • Character • Point of View: Narrator • Imagery • Setting • Symbolism • Theme Literary Criticism: • Marxist Criticism • Feminist and Gender Criticism • Queer Theory • Postcolonial Criticism • Psychological Theories • Cultural Studies • Historicism or New Historicism Do: • Write an introduction paragraph with background information that introduces the issue. The last sentence should be a clear thesis that relates to one literary element, theory or criticism from the lists above to the story. • Have three body paragraphs with topic sentences and supporting details that consist of textual evidence. Include quotes and paraphrases from the text that are thoroughly analyzed and relate back to the topic sentence and thesis. Include three- three from peer reviewed journals or books. (one outside sources per body paragraph) • For each body paragraph, provide:  A topic sentence, identified roman numeral  1 quote and/ or paraphrases from the book that is thoroughly analyzed and relates back to the topic sentence and thesis. (approximately three sentences)  1 quote and/ or paraphrases from an outside source that is thoroughly analyzed and relates back to the topic sentence and/ or quote. (approximately three sentences)  A concluding sentence that sums up paragraph or transitions into the next body paragraph. • Conclusion with a reworded thesis and several sentences that reviews your paper discussed and provides your final thoughts. • Follow MLA conventions for formatting and citing within your paper. Make sure to include a Works Cited page.
