Conduct independent research and write a research paper approximately 3,000 words in length addressing the theme: “Equality and Health Care at Home and Abroad: Inequality, Challenges & Initiatives.” Conduct your independent research based on one of the following focus topics: Options: Race/Ethnicity and Health Care Challenges in the United States—Past or Present Combating Disease & Inequality: Health Care Challenges & Initiatives in the Developing World—Past or Present Option of your choice with prior approval from your instructor Evaluation: The depth of your understanding is one criterion of evaluation. The second criterion is the organization of your paper, including a clear thesis, coherent development of your argument, and effective use of specific supporting examples (including quotes) from course texts.
