Description

A 1500 word essay with an introduction and analysis at the end about an emergency ambulance crews perspective on a patient and the social and psychological factors surrounding them . I have to choose a patient and the patient is an elderly lady in her 80’s who called the ambulance after a non injury fall . She lives in a deprived area and has no family support and has no social networks around her . She lives alone and her flat is unkept and she has no food in the cupboard and appears to be struggling on her own . So it’s looking at all the factors that may influence why she has called . I have to use references for example statistics surrounding loneliness in the elderly and the lack of self worth and also the fact she lives in a deprived area and this could influence how she lives . For example scared to leave the flat because of anti social behaviour .
