In your Reading Journal, 1) reflect on what you think were the causes and meaning of the Protestant Reformation. What were the main points of the Chapter dealing with the Reformation, and the podcast? 2) In what ways do the primary source readings (Luther’s 95 Theses and the 12 Articles of the Peasants) deepen or add nuance to your historical understanding? What was Luther’s main idea in the 95 Theses? What did the peasants want to accomplish with their 12 Articles? Why are they historically important? (GENERAL NOTE ON ALL JOURNALS: There are TWO parts to the journals: writing about the historical events covered in the textbook assignment and podcast AND writing about the primary source assignments. You can mesh these two parts together, but I need to be able to see that you have read/listened to all the assignments and thought about them.
