Parents should be involved in their children education when they study?
1) WRITE: a response in which you: • Make a list of “key words” or search phrases related to your research question. How did you decide which key terms or search terms would be relevant? • Use the key words. Where did you searching? For what? What kinds of sources are you finding? Are you finding what you expected? In class we will talk about your keywords/search phrases, and we will talk about evaluating sources. Consider, what are the different ways that academic writers put sources to use in their writing? For what specific purposes do academic writers use sources? What kinds of sources should/could you be using? Read these texts, take notes, and re-read sections that are especially important or challenging. Become familiar with each author’s point of view, and the ideas upon which they build an argument. What ideas do they support? Who do they contend/disagree with? Do you agree or disagree with points made in the texts? Most importantly, what could apply to your own research?
