One of the key things that arose from this incident is that the IOC, USOC, and others, had to activate significant ‘change’ to the process of bidding for Olympic Games, worldwide. The scandal tarnished the image of the IOC, the Olympic Games, and the United States. Once you have read the assigned Salt Lake City Olympic reading describe what happened; Who were the primary actors, and what were the ‘responses to organizational change” in this incident? What changes were made at the individual, group and organizational level, as a result of the findings? What was the “change process”, and, where there any restraints, or constraints to the changes?
