Methodological issues involved in the replication crisis

Description

Essay question is: A 2015 study by the Open Science Collaboration found that only 35 of 97 cognitive psychology or social psychology studies could be replicated. What sould be done about the replication crisis?

Essay must explore a) conceptual and b) methodological issues involved in the replication crisis. For example there must be a section exploring the ignorance of Realism in psychology for the sake of representationalism and a necessity for realism to be aligned with best practices to improve the replicability of research in psychology.
