Learning Theories and Processes

The purpose of this 2,000-word (of about 7 pages, excluding references) Individual Reflection Paper (to be formatted with 12-point font size, Times Roman font type, 1-inch margins, double spacing, and APA referencing style) is to allow students to review and study in depth 2 to 3 theories of learning and to discuss their applications in tackling issues encountered in their immediate, real-life educational/parenting/workplace settings. Students are to evaluate how those theories of learning can be utilized in an integrated way in enhancing learning in their targeted learners. The individual reflection paper should include the following: 1. Introduction (0.5-1 page): Introduce the purpose and topic of the paper; e.g., Why do you want to study this topic? What educational/parenting/workplace problems are you intending to solve? Why would you pick those particular 2-3 theories to study and review for solving those problems (e.g., learning issues)? What are your expectations? etc. 2. Literature Review* (3-4 pages): Define the theories/concepts/variables; provide proper citation and referencing (use APA style); evaluate the usefulness of these findings in tackling real-life educational/parenting/workplace issues in your immediate cultural context. 3. Application (2 pages): Propose how those theories/concepts/variables are to be used to solve the specific learning issues (in educational/parenting/workplace setting) at hand; provide details in describing your hypothetical strategy in integrating knowledge into practice. 4. Discussion & Conclusion (0.5-1 page): Discuss any limitations; discuss implications and insights; summarize and conclude: e.g., What have you learned? 5. References: List all references cited in APA style. The reflection paper should be within 7-8 A4 double-spaced pages excluding references and appendix.
