LEAPS LABORATORY REPORT

Description

Throughout the course of the LEAPS series of practicals you have been gathering evidence to test the following hypothesis: “Expression of proteins as a glutathione-S-transferase fusion enables rapid and efficient purification using affinity chromatography.” In this report you will be asked to give some background information about the processes of creating and expressing a fusion protein and the principles of affinity chromatography. You will then be asked to present the data you collected and state how these data contribute to the evidence that supports (or refutes) the hypothesis. You will then be asked to provide a critical appraisal of the experimental approaches we used and the data you collected.
