The task – This is a data analysis assignment. The point of this essay is not using pre-existing analysis, it is about getting the raw data and doing the data analysis yourself and making a narrative from this. The paper should cover the different elements of the CRISP cycle (business problem – the RQ, data understanding, data modelling…). You are asked to think about a situation or question about which you would like to develop a deeper understanding. This might be related to a specific issue of sustainability, a potential business opportunity or a business problem that you have encountered. It must be an issue that data or the opinions of others can help you understand. Work out what you need to know to develop your understanding. Think broadly and creatively about this. Then develop a set of questions which can be answered using data that you can find. Data might be in a mix of different types (structured, unstructured, quantitative, qualitative), it’s up to you. Analyse your data using some of the tools and techniques that we have covered in the module and draw conclusions from it. Evaluate your conclusions and be clear about their reliability. Write this up in a report. Use tables, diagrams and your own visualisations to explain how you have extracted insight from the data and how this has built your understanding. The marker is looking for data analysis, NOT an essay on the topic informed by data. I have attached a good example of the type of paper that should be produced and also examples of open data found online which can be referenced and used, please reference sources used (refer to how this is done in the good example attached). When doing regression, please do bivariate NOT multivariate. Two different bivariates can be done to make different analysis
