Background Information: I’m a Canadian Born Chinese with more exposure to the Chinese culture, having studied in both countries for quite some time, now studying in a university (1st year) at Guangzhou, China. My major is computer science, and all of the lectures are taught in English. The majority of my classmates are from Africa, Middle East and Asia (Bangladesh, Pakistan, Indonesia). Requirements: Please answer the five questions listed below, keep the original questions in your essay. (Minimum 1500 words are required to support your answers) 1) What is Culture? My understanding of culture after meeting my international friends. 2) How I perceived about China and how my perceptions have been changed after having first-hand exposure of China and its culture? Support your answer with specific examples. 3) What kind of challenges I have faced during my stay and how I compromised my cultural identity? Give specific examples to support your argument. 4) During my stay in China, how did I see China and Chinese culture? Why it has attracted me, if not, then what are the reasons? Express your own feelings. 5) How do I see myself after graduation? What comparative advantages you will have as compare to other professionals of your major, in your home country? In other words, you write a detailed note that how China exposure can provide you better opportunities after graduation?
