Improve tariffs on imports

During his inaugural address, President Trump stressed, that to create more jobs for American workers he would restrict trade; he would impose tariffs on imports. He has kept his promise and imposed tariffs on steel, aluminum and most of the products imported from China and is threatening to increase the amount of tariff. Is restricting trade with foreign countries a good way to create more jobs in the US? Write a paper of between two and three pages (not including the cover page) addressing the question, would Americans be better off with more trade restrictions? In your paper, be sure to identify the groups in the US that would benefit and those who would lose because of trade restrictions? What can be done to compensate the groups who lose? You must consult at least four peer-reviewed journals. A librarian will make a presentation next week to explain how to use the research facilities at the library.
