ISBN 13: 978-1-5063-2163-9(If you have the book let me know) 1. After reading Chapter 1 in Johnson, answer the following: Which shadow are you most likely to cast as a leader? Why? What can you do to cast light instead? Can you think of any other ethical shadows cast by leaders? 2.How would you define ethics? Are ethics and the law the same? If not, how are they different? Can something be legal and unethical? Why or why not?(Make this question legal but unethical) 3.Read the lecture “What is a morally good action?” (Power Point Lecture) and then answer this question: Which of these positions is closest to what you believe? Why? Which one is most antithetical to who you are as a leader? Why? 4.Read Case 2.3 “VW’s Massive Deception” (Johnson, pp. 62-63) and answer questions 1-3 and 6 on page 63. If possible connect this case to others you are aware of currently or in the past. Additional information on the VW case can be found on the internet about the diesel deception. 5.View the video, “Doing the Right Thing.” Do you agree with the panel about how we got into this mess? If so, why? If not, why not?
