When it comes to victims of sexual assault and domestic violence it is imperative that victim advocates are able to establish trust and hold victim information confidential. It is equally important to empower victims to tell their story and cooperate with law enforcement during the investigation and with the prosecutor during the court process. In a 2 page paper address what penal and/or evidence code(s) in your state provide advocates the right to confidential communication with victims of domestic violence and sexual assault.
