 Safety issues have been one of the leading concerns among members of the leadership team at Elora Jean & Co. There have been a few minor accidents in the past 18 months. Recently, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) came to the facility to conduct an investigation. There were no formal violations cited; however, Elora Jean & Co. was advised to develop a comprehensive safety policy and provide formal safety education for employees. The owner has asked for your input on a policy that would protect the company from safety claims submitted to OSHA. Respond to the following questions as you formulate your response to this task: 1. Considering the guidelines for employers under the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970, what do you feel will be important to include in your recommendations, and why? 2. Prepare a summary of your recommendations for the owner.
