Hays Code

Imagine that you or one of the writers you have read (Strasburg Augustine, Dawkins, Wong) are/is composing a letter/email to Hollywood studios about a new proposal to institute the Hays Code (or something similar since cultural values have shifted since the Hays Code was written in the 1930s). Consider what you or this writer might say based on what you have read. Then compose a brief letter from that author’s perspective. It may be helpful to focus on a specific type of violence (e.g., one point from the Hays Code rather than the Code as a whole).
