 Describe the origins and development of International Relations (IR), and the paradoxical participation of Africa in IR. Note: a paradox is a contradiction. Africa is a huge paradox because it is the richest continent on earth, where Humankind started, and has vast resources; and yet Africa is the poorest continent on earth; poorer today than she was 30 to 40 years ago! Exploited, enslaved, fragmented, colonized, marginalized, ignored, and raped for a very long time: the ” Dark Continent ” ! Why do you think these paradoxes continue to confront this Mighty Continent unto today? You may explain the reasons for the marginalization of Africa in IR, and suggest measures to end such marginalization.
