Feminists: What Were They Thinking? (Nextflix) Film analysis

For this short paper you will view a documentary (options below), and discuss how course concepts are represented in the documentary film. Each student will write a 3 – 4 page paper that explores how the film complements course learning. Choices: Feminists: What Were They Thinking? (Nextflix) The Red Pill: A Feminist’s Journey Into the Men’s Rights Movement (Kanopy/Amazon Prime) American Circumcision (Nextflix) RBG (iTunes/Amazon Prime) Outline of paper: (Paragraph 1): Introduction paragraph with fully developed thesis statement (Paragraphs 2 – 4): Inclusion of at least three course concepts from the textbook, appropriately incorporated and properly cited At least one paragraph per concept For each concept: Definition provided with proper APA citation At least two examples from the film that illustrate the course concept Analysis of relationship to course concepts (Paragraph 5): Discussion of how the film expanded your understanding of the provider perspective as well as health communication (Paragraph 6): Conclusion which includes a summary of the paper and concluding statement about learning
