Extra Credit – Spark Page – Intercultural Communication

July 29, 2024/0 Comments/in Uncategorized /by Admin

You will be offered (up to) 10 extra credit points for completing a brief “webpage” done in Adobe Spark. (Note the difference between a PAGE and a POST.) You should have created a free account for your assignment completed during Week 3. Use the free account and use the webpage for design: https://spark.adobe.com/ (Check out free app too if you want to use a tablet or phone for creation. That is an awesome feature – it resizes for any screen automatically!) Create a link for the presentation by clicking “Share”. Simply drop the link into a Word document at upload the document (with the link). If you make updates after clicking the “share” button, you do not need to make any changes in D2L to what you turned in — the link will be updated. How neat is that? The content focus for this page will be an aspect of Intercultural Communication that was stressed heavily in your book: border dwelling. Students will explain one example of how they are (or have been in the past) a border dweller. Explain the type of border dweller you were and why; use the terms in the chapter to explain conflicting cultural values; and share how the experience has improved your intercultural communication skills. The page needs to contain (at least) six components beyond the title picture. Pick components from the following listing, although there must be text to accompany random pictures. – paragraph of text (3 sentences min.) – a single picture – a picture collage – a glideshow – a video link – a quote (You may have more than four because it comes together quickly! That would be great, but not demanded.) There is a large number of free, stock photos that are part of Adobe Spark. Click away! You may also upload your own collection of photos. The School of Communication and Media is proud to connect you to Adobe products. Please visit the SOCM Adobe Creative Hub at https://chss.kennesaw.edu/socm/adobe/students.php. Specifically, you may want to check out the link, ” Get started with Adobe Spark.” Please note that posts could be shared by your instructor and viewed by classmates and others (so bear that in mind in terms of appropriate content and self-disclosure). Additionally, your posts might be shared as exemplars in the School of Communication and Media’s Adobe repository. If you do not wish to have your post shared with SOCM, you must state that in writing by emailing Otherwise, it will be assumed that you are willing to share your post for learning purposes.
