Event security

 For this assignment, share a current event in the event industry. By “current,” try to share something that occurred in the past 2 years. While not meant to exclude positive news, this chapter focuses on legal aspects and risk management. Most of the time when events make the news, it’s because something happened. This current event post could be related to event security, force majeure, an accident or incident. The purpose of this discussion is to explore risk assessment, mitigation, preparedness, response and recovery, ADA, intellectual property, and ethics. I’m going to challenge you to not all post on the same current event, so you will be able to review all of your classmates’ posts before posting. If it’s already been discussed 3 times, find something new to share. (By the 4th post, it’s been covered and is boring.) So, you’ll have to read through those who have posted before you to avoid repeating more than 3 times. What happened? When? Where? How? Who was involved? Share your “take” on this. For this post, you will NOT be required to comment on another student’s post, and your post should be a few well-written paragraphs. For full credit, share the source of your current event, which can be from television, print, or social media, but make sure it’s a valid source.
