“Don’t Throw Away Your Printed Books”
Instructions: After reading the article “Don’t Throw Away Your Printed Books” write a 2 to 3 page (double spaced) essay that answers the questions below. The questions are meant to guide you in writing your essay. You do not need to write them into your paper. You are encouraged to state what you think and how you feel about the article, and to provide examples from your own experience. Try to write in your own “voice;” as if you were talking to a friend or peer. When writing your essay think about the following questions: 1. What is the key question that the author is addressing and why is it important? 2. What concepts are important in understanding the article? You can include a descriptions of the key concepts using the text. 3. What important information is presented? 4. What are the main conclusions of the article? 5. If we fail to take these conclusions seriously what might happen? Provide an example if you can. 6. How do you agree or disagree with the conclusions? Explain why. 7. How does the information in this article apply to your life? Your essay should be in APA format. This means that your paper should also include a separate title page, abstract page, and citation page. (An abstract is a one paragraph summary (single-spaced) of your paper). Your paper therefore should be a total of 5 to 6 pages (double-spaced, 12 pt. font), including the title, abstract, and citations pages, including about 2 to 3 pages of written content.
