Diversity in Thinking
Address the following questions for this week’s discussion on innovative thinking: 1.Diversity in thinking strengthens potential for success in all endeavors. What would happen if everyone on a healthcare project team in congress, or on a board of education, had the same background and experience, held the same values, and possessed the same thinking preferences and styles? What are some possible consequences for everyone sharing the same thinking style, values, and experiences? 2.In chapter 6 on page 98 the Hermann Brain Dominance Instrument (HBDI) Profiles are listed. On this picture you can see that medical doctors and nurses are listed exact opposites. What are some possible consequences of this? How might that effect the 3 step innovation process? Provide evidence to support your statement. 3. Compare and contrast the Kirton Adaption Innovation Inventory (KAI) and the Six Thinking Hats framework. What are the advantages of the KAI model as compared with the Six Thinking Hats?
