Q#1: Criminal Law: Keeping in mind that civil law and criminal law differ both at the individual and business levels, answer all of the following a – c: a. Identify and discuss (3) major crimes that affect business. b. In your particular profession/position/job, identify (2) areas that are susceptible to criminal actions. c. Discuss SOX, Dodd-Frank and RICO within the context of criminal law and corporations. Q#2: Employment Law: Privacy is a global issue. Privacy in the workplace is a developing at law. Identify at least (3) guidelines that employees should remember and 3 guidelines that employers should remember. Explain the relevance and importance of each. Q#3: Employment Law: Identify (4) new/emerging issues in the employment discrimination arena and discuss 1) how these issues are developing; 2) how these issues are impacting employees and employers; and 3) what do you predict legally, ethically and business-wise for each identified issue? Q#4: International Law: a. What 7 things must prospective investors consider when deciding to take a business global? More specifically, discuss the economic, political, legal, geographic and cultural factors involved in this decision. b. Discuss the relevance of the facial recognition program that China is using and how it can potentially impact not only Chinese citizens, but also U.S. businesses and citizens. Q#5: Current Events: a. Identify two (2) current events – do not discuss the international law current event you already discussed in Q#4b – FULLY explain the legal, ethical, social and business implications in each event. Make sure you fully explain in order to earn all points.
