In the book Developing cross-cultural competence: A guide to working with children and their families by Lynch & Hanson: chapter 3, p.p. 55-73: Developing Cross-Cultural Competence, any chapter of the book which most closely resembles your own ethnic heritage (im white, russian) Three major aspects of the topic should be covered: Causes of the child’s disability. How representatives of the two cultures (one is of your own ethnic heritage (white, russian), and another is of any other culture) explain causes of disability in children. Changes of own style of life in connection to the child’s disability. How representatives of the two cultures accept a necessity for parents of the disabled child to develop new special patterns of behavior and child care. Chances for the child’s adjustment. How attitudes of representatives from the two cultures differ towards intervention and special education for the disabled children. The paper should have a structure typical for research papers, that’s include introduction, body, and conclusion. . One new reference should be found in electronic or traditional libraries and used in your paper. At least 3 references should be presented in total.
