(Foner Chapter 10)Themes include: The Bank War, Indian Removal and the Supreme Court, Nullification Crisis and John C. Calhoun, Andrew Jackson himself, the Election of 1828, the Panic of 1837, and anything else you feel is relevant
b.) Identify and analyze the ideological, political, social and economic causes, results and consequences of the Mexican American War. (Foner Chapter 13 first half) Themes include: Manifest Destiny, Texas Revolt, The Election of 1844 and James K. Polk, the Road to War, the war itself 1846-1848, the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo, and anything else you feel is relevant. I would suggest working ahead on these questions and having them ready before you begin the final exam. Remember to break the essay down into economic, social, and political factors
