Title IX has allowed for the growth of women’s sports at both the high school and college level, but its protection is still needed. In 2012 as Title IX celebrated its 40th Anniversary most schools were still not in compliance. ii. Title IX since its inception has had a negative impact at both the high school and college level on men’s sports. Women’s sports were not part of the original legislation and the misapplication of Title IX has led to the demise of many men’s teams. Title IX should be abolished as it applies to athletics 4. References/Summary: Students are required to submit a minimum seven (7) references, four (4) must be from professional journals while three (3) could be from secondary sources such as magazine, newspapers, or books.
