Paper details Read Chapter 7 from the “A First Look from Communication Theory” PDF “Pg 79” For the Survey (Word Doc.), you will need to go through and answer them 20 different times in order to create graphs that you will use in the paper, you can choose the answers which will make it easier for you to write the paper(Please do not choose the same thing over and over again, add in different answers for each so there is a bit of variety), you will also need to create graphs based on the answers from the Survey question to use in the paper. You should have at leave 6 Citation these should come from chapter 7 and the 2 articles at the end of chapter 7 (2 citation form each will be good when citing please add in brackets at the end of the sentences where you cite it from in the essay). When you’re finished, write up your results by: 1. Reviewing the constructs of the theory. Read at least two additional articles listed at the end of the EVT chapter. 2. Describing your methods briefly. Make sure you describe how the survey I’ve given you might help identify EVT. You’ll also want to describe how you recruited subjects. 3. Explaining your results. Use basic descriptive statistics (mean, median, for example) to identify whatever objective trends you might have found. If you found NO trends, that is an adequate result, too. 4. INTERPRETING your results. If you found a trend that supported EVT, what do you think this means people should do to either benefit from or avoid this phenomenon? If you found no trend or a trend that didn’t support EVT, what do you think this means for the validity of the theory? Please see the syllabus for more information about writing expectations for this assignment. You will be graded on: 1. Your understanding of the concepts in the reading and thus far in the course. Cite numerous ideas about the intricacies of the theory from the textbook and the supplemental articles. 2. A thoughtful understanding of how the measurement tool evokes potential instances of EVT. 3.
