Chicano Studies Response paper
To introduce students to the state of the field of Chicana/o/x studies, there will be two short analytical response paper (1-2 pages) based on two original articles of your choice published in Aztlán: A Journal Of Chicano Studies. In discussion sections (and to some degree in lecture), students will have time to collectively Browse through recent and back issues of Aztlán in search of articles that will be the focus of their analytical. Response papers. In these short analytical essays, students must: critically summarize the research Question/topic; research method or mode of analysis; evidence, data, empirical material, texts, primary source Or cultural production analyzed by the author(s); arguments and conclusions presented in the article and state Whether you agreed and/or were convinced by the article’s argument and analysis.
