Although the case study indicated that Matthew was diagnosed with Bipolar II Disorder, there were other disorders that likely were on your mind as you read through the case, most notable Disruptive Mood Dysregulation Disorder (DMDD). Based on the DSM-5 criteria, compare Matthew’s symptoms to both the bipolar disorders (Bipolar I/II, Cyclothymia) and DMDD and discuss what your conclusion would be as to Matthew’s primary diagnosis.
