Bob Dylan and how his songs relate to the folk movement

In paper #3, you will compare and contrast the work of one poet/songwriter to the cultural context of their poem(s). For example, choose an artist like Bob Marley and discuss how his works relate to Rastafarianism; or choose Bob Dylan and discuss how his songs relate to the folk movement… or you can choose a particular song by an artist and how it relates to a real world controversy or situation. (ex: The Hurricane by Bob Dylan). Basically, you’re trying to delve into why a particular song was written. What was happening in the world that influenced the song writer to pen a song? Try to research what was happening and then explain the cultural context and how it is communicated in the song. Check out the sample papers to help you. OBVIOUSLY, do not use Bob Marley/Rasta or Bob Dylan/Folk. 500 words minimum (no video or audio or Ppt substitution). PLEASE FOLLOW THE RUBRIC which appears on the submission page. When you are finished, you may want to run your paper through a plagiarism checker like grammerly or another one online. This will alert you if you’ve forgotten to cite, quote, or otherwise give credit to original authors’ work.
