Arming Teachers in the Classroom.

 Based on all that you have read, researched and discussed in class what policy topic do you believe has the potential to improve public education today and make a more equitable school system in Miami Dade Public Schools (MDPS) including certain unique features that merit attention (e.g., the impact of immigration on Miami-Dade County’s schools and economic systems; the ethnic and cultural politics of this city and our county). Each of you will be expected to research, develop and present your policy recommendation based on that research, spending time looking into topics and gathering information as needed, actively taking part in in-class discussions, researching something in greater depth. You will present your policy recommendation in the form of a presentation to the class and a final paper.
