Application of Immigration Explore Map
https://archive.nytimes.com/www.nytimes.com/interactive/2009/03/10/us/20090310-immigration-explorer.html For this application, first spend some time playing around with the Immigration Explorer Map- you can select immigrants from specific countries, you can watch how the foreign-born population has changed over time, you can look at specific counties or the nation as a whole, and several other things. Keep a log of the variables that you look at a simple bullet point list is fine for this part. Look at a minimum of 10 different combinations of variables ( time, location, country of origin, % foreign born in a county, etc.) Second, make three observations that you can connect to the 3 Patterns of Immigration listed in the PowerPoint for this module. Use your data from Part I to support (or contradict!) the patterns of Immigration. Your write-up for each observation should be a minimum of 91 word in length. There are no concepts to define for this application.
