The essay question is a “take-home” essay due on the test day before the start of the Unit test. Students may choose one essay topic from the multiple possible essay questions below. Question are critical thinking questions, while they seek your opinion on an issue or event you must support that opinion with information and or facts from the course or outside research. Grading does include a review of grammar and spelling. Each essay answer is should be around two pages typed (double-spaced, font Times New Roman 12 point, with one-inch margins) in length or longer if necessary, to thoroughly discuss all aspects of the question. Essays must be uploaded on Blackboard before the due date. Essays will be subject to a plagiarism check, (students can review that check shortly after uploading their paper) therefore; quotations from outside sources (whether direct quote or paraphrased or summarized) must be appropriately cited using MLA format.
