Must present a problem, and then provide a solution: – 1ST PART: Introduction (2 pages) – present the problem – describe/argue why this problem is important – explain purpose (why should we read this paper) – 2 elements: 1.) Describing the problem (the struggle): give historical context 2.) Argumentative elements: give reasons why its relative -**I attached a lay out of the introuduction – 2ND PART: Solutions that failed – Research based (bulk of essay) – what has been attempted in the past to fix this probleem – why is it still going on today – why are these solutions thought to be effective and why did they fail – “this failed because….” – **Translanguaging?? – 3RD PART: Your solution to the problem – Not research based – I believe differentiated learning could be beneficial to help English Language Learners in the classroom (pairing a non-english learner with an English language learner to help assist them with classroom assignments) – The future?: having a hearing aid that all ELL’s could have that could help translate what the teacher is saying – 4TH PART: Conclusion (the wrap-up/TIE EVERYTHING TOGETHER)
