Nurse to Patients Ratios on Quality of Care and Safety of Patients Concept for Capstone Project On every unit in nursing care, there is a standard when it comes to nurse and patient ratios. Over the years, these numbers have continually been up for debate as to what is the proper nurse to patient ratio per unit for the utmost quality of care and safety for patients. Through analyzing evidence based research and conducting my research study, this capstone project will provide an insight into what challenges nurses are facing with the current nurse to patient ratio in various departments and what the nurses believe should be the true nurse to patient ratio in order to provide the best possible care for their patients. Question: How is the ratio of nurses to patient affect safety and quality care?
