The research project is to put together a grant proposal requesting funds to support a program for 8th graders in the Bronx, New York to receive a mandatory 2-hr. educational course on opioid education and prevention. This program is to educate and equip students on the effects of opioid abuse and other harmful drugs before going to high school. The agency that will be providing the funds is the NYS Education Department
