The impact of recreational marijuana commercialization on traumatic injury.
INSTRUCTION Students must select a topic related to environmental health as the subject of their assignment! 1. This written assignment is to be a literature review, comprised of multiple article summaries. All articles submitted for must be from scholarly journals or comparable scientific publications – no newspaper or magazine articles may be used. You may acquire your articles from online sources, but they must be scholarly sources. 2. Each literature review must be a minimum of 300 words (approximately a half page, single‐ spaced) and must be typed in Calibri font at 12-point size. 3. The paper should include citations in MLA style, which should either be included after each literature review or should be listed at the end of your assignment in one citation list. If you choose the latter approach, there should be a number assigned to each literature review, with a corresponding number assigned to the citation. . The number of literature reviews contained therein Please see the following pages for sample literature reviews. These samples are derived from appropriate sources and are written in a fashion that is expected from you. Should you have any questions regarding this task please email me. Just a bit of clarification: 1. Complete three literature reviews for this assignment. This means reading three scholarly journal articles and providing a 300 words summary for each, written in the fashion described in the assignment guidelines. 2. You are to produce one (1) thesis statement, and this statement (your intended research focus) should apply to all three of your articles. Just to be clear, all of your three articles are to be about the same specific topic. To that end: i. You have made it clear that recreational marijuana legalization is a topic of interest (and we spoke about that being a fair topic to use, but that it needs to be more specific) ii. All of your articles should address the same (more specific) issue related to the legalization of recreational marijuana and public health, rather than a number of different articles that focus on numerous different issues related to (recreational) marijuana. This will not be very difficult to do, since there probably hundreds of thousands of scholarly articles about recreational and medicinal marijuana, given how it has become used in a very widespread fashion (11 states?). Again make sure all of your articles are about the same specific subtopic related to medical marijuana (i.e., ‘Colorado’s public and environmental health enforcement challenges in regulating recreational marijuana’…or ‘Incidence of hospital admissions related to psychotic episodes and marijuana, both before and after the legalization of medical marijuana in Colorado’….Etc., etc.).
