How do you approach the patient’s needs in terms of spirituality?

If you encounter a patient who is of a different religious/spiritual/faith background than you are, how do you approach the patient’s needs in terms of spirituality? How would you react if the patient asked them to participate in some sort of activity related to their faith? Where do you feel you would ‘draw a line’ when incorporating faith into their practice?  Provide an example of when this has occurred to you.  What implications does it have for the nurse involved in community health education?
